We produce 2 types of modular grain processing machines with best in class output at a minimum energy consumption: The Cerex Processor and the Pellex C+ Processor. Both processors can form all kinds of cereals and/or micropellets into a healthy snack.
Our Cerex processor converts cereals (rice, wheat, corn, etc.) and/or micropellets into a slice / cake / cracker/ biscuit in one operation. The Cerex grain processor is a true monument of the rice cake industry. You provide the ingredients, the Cerex processor converts it into a healthy snack!
Our Pellex C+ processor converts all types of cereals (broken rice, corn grits, etc.) and/or micropellets in a crunchy, tasty, light chip or crisp. Call them baked, puffed or popped but certainly not fried. The Pellex C+ processor is the most versatile and efficient popped chips machine available in the market. These crisps lack the oil but burst with genuine snacking pleasure.

PELLEX
PROCESSOR

Food Processor for popped chips / crisps
The Pellex C+ processor converts all types of cereals (broken rice, corn grits, etc.) and/or all sorts of micropellets into a crunchy and wavy chip / crisp. During the dry process, there is no use of any oil and resulting into a non-fried snack. The healthy snack variants produced on the Pellex C+ are much healthier alternatives to existing fried snacks available in the market without any concessions.

The Cerex Processor converts cereals (rice, wheat, corn, etc.) and/or all sorts of micropellets into a soft and tasty puffed cake / slice / cracker / biscuit. By means of heat and pressure, we bind the natural starch in the cereals / micropellets which results in healthy snack products.

The three-part moulds, consisting of separately heated upper and lower mould parts and a pneumatically driven ring, are designed to reduce sticking and thus cleaning time. The dies are protected with a titanium coating.

The Machine

Food Processor for puffed cakes
The Cerex Processor converts cereals (rice, wheat, corn, etc.) and/or all sorts of micropellets into a soft and tasty puffed cake / slice / cracker / biscuit. By means of heat and pressure, we bind the natural starch in the cereals / micropellets which results in healthy snack products.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION

° The grain is fed through a hopper, volumetrically metered and introduced by a feed-slide into the mould.

° The mould closes, crushing and baking the grain for a short period, after which a little opening is created to enable the expansion of the grain or pellet and thus forming the cake shape.

° The slice is ejected onto a conveyor, which leads the slices to the flavouring and/or packaging area.

The raw materials

The INCOMEC Grain Processor processes three basic grains solely or in mixtures : RICE, WHEAT and POPCORN and also a considerable number of PELLETS, like gelatinized wheat, rice-pellets etc… To these grains, other material like buckwheat, millet, rye, oats, barley, soy... can be added up to 25-30%, some grains over 50%. Even when broken grains are used, a nice slice can be obtained produced, hardly different from a cake made with ordinary rice.

Preparation

No extensive pretreatment of the grain is needed, but some moisture adjustment can be beneficial for the product. A simple addition of a percentage of water in a receptacle and some mixing does the job.

FLAVORING

Heat-stable flavors or salt can be added before the baking, though this tends to increase the necessity and frequency of mould cleaning. Spraying and/or dusting afterwards is advised.

DIES OR MOULDS

The three-part moulds, consisting of separately heated upper and lower mould parts and a pneumatically driven ring, are designed to reduce sticking and thus cleaning time. The dies are protected with a titanium coating. The die (quick) exchange sets consist of the three-part die, the upper head assembly and appropriate feeding plate, allowing to make a change-over of dies in less than 3 hours.

MACHINE OUTPUT

Output capacity depends on:

°grain or grain-mix or pellet being processed
°desired weight of the finished product
°desired appearance of the finished product

All these elements have an impact on the baking time and therefore a more exact calculation can only be made once the raw material and end-product have been defined and tested. Following capacities can be reached with a 100% medium grain brown rice.

B&R is a European manufacturer of PLC’s which is producing reliable, robust and technical performant PLC’s.

° There is no main PLC provided. Each of the machines have their own small PLC which are all linked to a CAN-Open bus.
° There is one display provided for each line of ten machines which enables to program the individual machine parameters into each of the individual PLC’s through the CAN-Open data highway.

° This system is especially suitable for customers who don’t have experience with PLC’s and data highway networks and who want to rely on our assistance in case of problems. A problem with one of the PLC’s doesn’t mean that the whole line is stopped. Only one machine will be non-active.

The Machine

Food Processor for popped chips / crisps
The Pellex C+ processor converts all types of cereals (broken rice, corn grits, etc.) and/or all sorts of micropellets into a crunchy and wavy chip / crisp. The raw materials

The INCOMEC PELLET Processor (C+) processes pellets like - but not limited to - gelatinized wheat, rice-, corn-, potato-, soy-pellets into popped chips, while also processing corngrits into “popcorner”-type product.

Preparation

No extensive pre-treatment of the pellet is needed, but some moisture or other adjustment can be beneficial for the product. This can be obtained by a simple mixing process.

° There is no main PLC provided. Each of the machines have their own small PLC which are all linked to a CAN-Open data highway.

Power panel

C-Series Power Panels are terminals with a built-in PLC.

By using an Intel Atom processor, the speed is so high that applications can achieve cycle times down to 1 ms.

Automation Runtime, which provides up to eight task classes, is the basis for this.

To allow optimal use of this performance, the Power Panel C70 has a wide range of integrated interfaces: POWERLINK, Ethernet, X2X Link, USB as well as optional CAN.
